FREELANCE: She Broke My Heart By Ifeoluwa Afinjuomo

I just got off a call with a female friend, we talked for a while, which was soothing.  She shared her thoughts on   the ongoing elections and how the youths have become more interested in politics. I was definitely interested in that so we really disected that topic of conversation. She later  asked if I was coming for 'THE CONFLUENCE', at first I heard Cornflakes😂... 
"what is cornflakes"? I asked in a witty manner.
She bursted out laughing and replied "It's not cornflakes, I said  confluence". "It's a law dinner party for customs" she tried explaining. But then I really couldn't flow anymore with the conversation because I couldn't relate so the call was cut short and it ended.
       After the call, I was perplexed that I reached out to get more information from
Vice President LSS,Ipoademihan Temilade on what The CONFLUENCE entails:
           "The Law Dinner is a major 
highlight from my office as the Vice president of the Law Students Society, and since I was elected,my mind has been on how Law Dinner could be an exceptional one and the first of it's kind.

In my Campaign video, I spoke about how there's going to be the Lawlihood Initiative, which is hinged on creating a common ground between Law and and the Entertainment world with Drama specifically in view.

Then, an idea came to being,why not a traditional dinner?
I mean,law is most times foreign in context, and as we evolve, we discard our cultural standards and roots. So the Confluence: Night Of Customs materialised to keep Law Students in consciousness of their cultural roots and promote unity even amidst our diversity.

So it's going to be a night of pure cultural exposition set to enlighten our minds and keep the richness  and beauty of our cultural roots in mind.It's the first of its kind and I sincerely look forward to it.
